“Rewards Are Not So Rewarding”

I manage a hockey team & wanted an affordable hotel rewards program for booking our numerous stays. For this particular trip we ended up needing to change our reservation and was given confirmation of a cancellation but instead got charged 3 times the rooms & nights I needed. I am now fighting between Microtel & Wyhnam to get this resolved and in the mean time my credit card is near the balance & incurring interest. I'm not happy and considering discontinuing my rewards program and going to hotels that want to give us the customer service that justifies paying for lodging with them. We need 3-4 rooms two nights every month, throughout the midwest and Canada for the rest of the year. If Wynham can't give us the customer serviced needed to keep rewards members I will take my business else where.
