“We checked in at 5:30 on friday night and had to ring the...”

We checked in at 5:30 on friday night and had to ring the bell for the clerk to come to the desk, he was in the back watching a video, when he did come to the desk and asked our names he stated "i was just going to call you, you were almost past check-in time". I explained to him that I had called earlier that afternoon and spoke with Carl and told him we would be arriving around 7. On Saturday evening, the satellite and internet went down around 6:30, I made 3 calls to the front desk to report the problem. We were told 'someone was coming in to fix it' the last 2 times I called. It continued to go on and off until around 8 when we finally gave up and went sleep since we had been up since 4am, so I don't know if it was ever fixed. On Sunday morning, about 6am, we went to have breakfast, my husband got the eggs/sausage, he said they were horrible, said they tasted artificial, so he threw them away and made a waffle, which tasted better. We loaded our stuff up and went to check out, again had to ring the bell because the clerk was in back on her computer. When she came to the desk, she greeted us by saying "are you checking out?" and asked us our room number and wanted to know if we wanted a receipt. She never said 'good morning' or 'how was your stay'. Overall the room was nice and clean, but the front desk clerk was never seen unless someone was checking in/out. It looked like the place was deserted when you walked in, unless there were guests around. Both times we needed to see a clerk, we had to ring the bell because they were in back on their computer. For the price difference I would've stayed in the Holiday Inn across the street, and probably will next time.
