I did have Bed Bugs. I stayed here the two weeks prior and did not have them. I stayed another two weeks and was placed in a different room. I had bites along my arms and back towards the end of the first week. I went to the pharmacy at first thinking it might have been an allergy. They told me bed bugs.I informed the staff and I went with them to inspect the room. we found one for sure. I was moved and they "bombed" the room. I had to wash all of my clothes and spray everything of mine down so that I could stop them from spreading. I used the on site facilities for the laundry, but I did have to pay for the laundry myself. This took time out from my day that I had planned for other things.Originally I was to be moved back into the room but I was informed by the Head House keeper that they had to do that room again as she had found some more.Other things of note. The maintenance of the facility is needed. The Door on room 219 drags the carpet. The water temp varies from room to room. Some of the curtains need adjusting such as 219 ( the one with the bed bugs) as the water form the shower pushes the curtain out of the tub. I had a plug wire from a previous guest broken off in the wall socket under the TV in the room they moved me into. No problem my taking care of it, but I asked to see if someone was needed to get it out for me and informed them. They did not have anyone so I asked to see if they had some insulated electrical pliers. They did not. I took care of the problem myself when I went out to my truck and found some in the console and showed them the picture. This is not their fault, but I was surprised to not have a maintenance staff available.The internet is slow and needs frequent resetting, at least once a week. I actually had one of the staff ask me to help her figure out which box to reset as I was in communication with the outside service provider and they had figured out that the problems was at the motel. She did not have the knowledge of what was to be reset, and instead rest or shut off the older TIVO array that was no longer being used. I showed her what was need and she shut of the power strip to it, and let the buffer clear to reset it.I have returned to this establishment for an additional two weeks for a total of 6 with the final date being the 8th of March 2013, so overall for the area the value is good despite these minor instances. « less
