“Reward Points”

I stayed for I night using my reward points, its not the nicest place, actually the worst Microtel I've ever seen. The next morning I decided I needed another night so when I went to the front desk the manager said, "we are sold out and it shows not available online, but I could keep the room if I paid for it because someone cancelled and I had to still charge them." If thats so he would be double charging. That didn't make since to me. I checked out and went to Wyndham Rewards to find another hotel in the area. On the website it showed rooms available at the Microtel that he said wasn't. Im glad I left after that. I don't know if they get reimbursed but he didn't want to let me use my points. Ive never had a problem before anywhere but I was better off leaving there anyway. The place was run down and smells like mold. There isnt much to choose from in that area. The Super 8 which is in tbe Wyndham chain is much better than the Microtel, it still isnt as nice as a Baymont or Howard Johnson which are also by Wyndham. . I was telling a friend who lives in the are about my experience there, and the smell, they said it had previously been closed down.
