“I would not stay here again!”

When we first arrived there was no one available at the front desk. We DID arrive late however we had put in our reservation notes that we would not be there until around 11PM. We stood at the front desk for about 25 minutes before the front desk clerk "appeared". When we got to our room we noticed we had no towels. We called the front desk and the clerk said we would have to come down to the front desk and get them. So I declined and said I would wait until the morning when I came down for breakfast. That morning I went down to get towels and there was someone new there. When I asked her for towels she questioned me about the towels already in my room and I told her we never had any. So with an attitude she gave me towels. On the second night when we returned from our event we came back to our room and noticed it had not been cleaned at all. I called down to the front desk and got the same person from the night before and this time I made my concerns clear and he brought up the towels this time with a few bottles of shampoo. The following morning I went down to speak with a manager, however the manager would not arrive until after 11 sometime and we could not wait that long. So after about 12PM that afternoon I called to speak with the manager. When I got her on the phone, she was very non chalant with her apologies, but was sure to inform me that they did not have me marked as being checked out and had to charge me for another night!! I was furious. I was very polite over the phone (for those of you who believe that), In the mean time I moved on from it and just told myself that I would never stay there again. BUT the story is not over. I got home to find that when I went to get gas my card declined I was unsure of how this happened when I had just checked my balance. WELL Microtel Inn had charged (NOT PRE AUTHORIZED) they actually charged my card the FULL amount of the stay three times. When I spoke to my bank and found that it was actual charges and NOT pre-authorizations I called back to the hotel and got the same manager who informed me it was nothing she could do that I would have to contact my bank in her very nonchalant attitude again. So I politely informed her I was putting a stop payment on ALL transactions from Microtel Inn, which indeed I did. It took me a week to get my money back. When they saw that a stop payment was placed they have been trying to call, email, and send letters about their money. This place was horrible
