“There wasn't enough hot water. Water pressure was horrible...”

There wasn't enough hot water. Water pressure was horrible! It took 1.5 hours to fill the tub half way for my daughter to take a bath. The water temp was tepid at best. Luckily we had family who live near by and could shower there. The bathroom fan did not work. The lighting was not good in the halls and the decor was very cheap in the lobby. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was ok for the hotel price. It was definitely an economical stay. I am not likely to stay there again but it is a ok place for the money. Next time I will just pay the extra for a little nicer hotel.I was going to cancel the reservation but was told since I had made the reservation online, I had missed the deadline to cancel. The deadline for online reservations is the day before checkin. Other hotels allow cancellations until the checkin date. The front desk told me if I had made the reservation directly, he would have gladly cancelled for me. The problem with that is no one makes reservations by calling the hotel anymore. Why would you get worse service by making the reservation online? My reservation was directly through the hotel's website, not a third party discount travel vendor.
