I was staying here recently. The room that was assigned to me initially had a cockroach sitting on the bed as I entered the room. I was switched to another room. The hotel was advertised as having room service, however that was not the case. Food is from the huddle restaurant next door which barely has customers and works independently. So if you order room service, you have to go pick it up at the restaurant. They can come to the lobby of the hotel at an extra cost but only if you pay cash. You cannot charge it to the hotel. There is free breakfast but it is usually stale hard bagel with jelly, cereal and oatmeal packet. I did not understand why they had milk in a carafe-I did not use it as I did not know if it has even kept cold. Only good thing is coffee and fruit (fruit only after 9 am ). If you are on a morning person like I am-sorry no fruit unless its weekend. I ended up getting breakfast outside. The rooms were small but ok. This was supposedly a new hotel but the iron box had stains /rusty that it put a permanent stain on my white shirt. Requested a new ironbox and I was told that they are waiting for a key to storage to get it. A replacement came as I was leaving. The toilet flush is placed in a ridiculous position that the only way to flush the toilet is to close the lid and put your hand underneath a ledge and push hard-makes no sense. If you see it, you will know what I mean.I guess this is the best they could do in eagle pass.
