“Nice stay”

Loved the location (close to slopes) and room. Don't count on breakfast unless you are a carb lover (of processed cereal or hard bakery goods) with little else available. Coffee did not taste fresh in the middle of breakfast at 8 am. They did have apples. We saw many people bringing in breakfast from the many choices around. We went, saw, and returned to the room and had bagels and cheese from our own stash, topped with coffee from McDonalds next door.We asked for restaurant recomendations for dinner and Julie's ("an Italian restaurant") was highly recommended. "Hands down - no questions - go every week" themselves. Sounded good. What a mistake that was! We went and it was a pizza place with an expanded menu; food that was VERY weak on taste. I even got reprimanded by the young waiter when I asked for A1. When he brought it out I was told that "the chef wanted me to know they don't usually provide extra". Really?? You couldn't have kept that to yourself? Wow! The staff at Microtel either don't get out much or someone is related to "Julie".Don't expect a 5 star hotel - but definately worth the price when spending your time on the slopes! Discount lift tickets available to nearby Kissing Bridge - well worth it.
