“A poor nights rest!!!!!!”

Arrived at around 10:30 p.m. We were given a room on the 4th floor (405). The room smelled musty, but we settled in and all was okay until the granddaughter wanted to watch TV and it didn't work. Called the front desk, and they moved us across the hall to room 404. We gather all our belongings and moved across the hall. The roomed was stuffy, but the AC was running and set on 66 so we figured it would be okay after it ran a while. It was 11:30 or so by now, so we went directly to bed as we needed to be up early to travel on. At 12:00 the room wasn't cooling down at all and it was too hot to sleep. Called the front desk and asked to be moved back to the room across the hall because we knew the AC worked there, and we wouldn't need the TV anyway at this hour. So we gathered up our stuff and moved back to the original room #405. By this time it was getting near 1:00 a.m. and time for some rest. My brother woke me around 2:00 a.m. after he got up to use the bathroom to find the bathroom door locked. With a quarter and a few minutes of jiggling the handle I was finally able to open the door. Back to bed at 2:15 and up at 6:00 a.m. to get on the road again. After a quick morning shower my granddaughter and I headed down to breakfast while my daughter and brother were getting ready to travel. We reached the elevator only to find and out of order sign on it. I went back to the room and called the front desk to make sure it wasn't just a prank. They informed me that it was indeed out of order. My brother has had both knees replaced (one of them within the last year) and doesn't walk well anyway, and he had to go down 3 flights of stairs. We finally settled down to the continental breakfast which as usual was very good. Your employees however propped the door open at the back while they smoked so they could still hear the phone, and much of the smoke from the 3 employees and several guest out there smoking came filtering into the breakfast room. Sorry to be so long winded, but we stay at your hotel every time we travel to Tennessee from Oklahoma because it's about half way to our destination. And then again on the way home the next week. Up until last Wednesday evening our stays have always been pleasant, and we have been very pleased. The service was still very good, but the facilities themselves were not. This one instance will not stop us from staying with you again in the future, but I felt I needed to let someone know.Sincerely,Monty Skaggs
