“Not happy with stay”

I have stayed at Microtel in the past and have been very happy. Unfortunately this trip was not good. The staff was very friendly. However the property was very dirty. there was a ring of dirt in the bathtub, a lot of dust on the counters and where the tv sits, the bed looked like someone had slept in it. The pillows looked used and were very old. There was holes in the tub area and the sink did not have the middle part to it. The refrigerator sat out into the entrance way to where the bed was and the only way to keep the door closed was to prop the chair in front of it. The breakfast left much to be desired. I was originally staying in the area for 5 nights and planned to stay there. After 2 nights I was able to secure a room at the Sleep In a few doors away so I went there. I also met 2 other families that cancelled the reservation at Microtel and went to Sleep In for the same reason. If I could have cancelled and found another room after seeing the inside of the property I would not have even stayed there one night. I would really like to hear back from a representative of Microtel.
