“Can't get a refund”

The hotel was OK. The location was the important thing. I'm very upset about the customer service. I booked online the morning of my stay. A pop-up ad came on the screen as I got to the final confirmation page. Thinking it hadn't gone through, I booked it again. Turns out I booked two rooms which I only discovered at checkin. The desk clerk couldn't / wouldn't refund one room and told be to call customer service, which I did. They would 'investigate' as they had talk to the desk clerk. I asked him AGAIN and he put it back on the customer service folks. Got a call today, NO REFUND. I've left a message for a manager...hope to hear something. I'm very upset. This could easily be taken care of if truly good customer service was offered! N
