“Far below average for motel stays, Microtels and this in particular, as I have stayed before.”

  , Milwaukee
This was a three-night stay. We were in 108. We arrived late after a 500+-mile drive. The first night we were awakened while it was still dark by a repetitive thumping coming from above. I could not place the sound, but counted 50 heavy bangs. I though it was a child jumping off a bed. My wife said it sounded like exercise room equipment. It stopped, but we did not recover much of the lost sleep, and lost some of the next afternoon to a nap. Later that morning I went to the front desk and informed the clerk. She said she would talk to the occupant upstairs, and if it happened again she would move us. I did not ask to be moved at that point because we had all our things spread out for a three-day stay and assumed with her intervention with the the occupant that it would cease. The same thing happened on night two. This time I was pretty sure what I was hearing was jump-roping. I called the desk on the spot after having been awakened again and the clerk said she would call that room, and the noise stopped. Later that morning I was told that guest upstairs had checked out and there was no repetition on night three.
