“Very good, except..”

We enjoyed our 3 days, 2 nights stay at Microtel. The amenities and facilities are great, view and location are perfect. One thing I find strange is, I don't feel the hotel warmth, hospitality and service of the staff that we usually experience when staying in hotels (except the staffs managing our floor - 11th). One sample incident would be this. After we have checked in last Oct.31, 2013, we went out to get our luggage from our car, and placed it on the bellman's cart ourselves, nobody even assisted us. Hotel staffs didn't noticed us. The guard seemed to be daydreaming also, he didn't assisted us. At this time, we are the only guests at the lobby. So I have to go to the counter and tell the staff, the one who processed our check-in, that our things are already ready. Or else she is just chit-chatting with the bellboy. We don't want to make it a big deal, but that clearly is not a very good hotel service, not unless Microtel is a self-service hotel. I would also like to appreciate and acknowledge the good, friendly service of the staffs on the 11th floor.
