“Shuttle Schedule”

My sister and I have been staying at Microtel for a few years now. We attend multiple concerts a year and find Mictrtel to be the best place to stay. This past visit, we noticed a change to the shuttle serice. In previous years the shuttle was a first come first serv whereas this year you needed to schedule a ride. This turned out to be distasterous. We were scheduled for the 6:00 shuttle, which ultimately left without us, we then were asked to schedule for the next available which was 7:30. I asked the front desk if a cab would be a better option to wehich she agreed and said yes, so we did not schedule the 7:30 shuttle. The cab company was running late, which I understanbd is not associated with the hotel, when 7:00 came around and we still hadn't left the lobby, I inquired about getting on the shuttle schedule, the fron desk attendant then advised that the next available was 8:30! We were going to Moheghan to attend the Marron 5 Concert for an 8:00 show. We watched in aww as we sat there for 1 hour and 1/2 watching people get on the shuttle, as we sat in the lobby for an Hour and 1/2. There was no compassion nor was there any potential accomidation made by your front desk staff, knowing that we had tried to get on 3 seperate shuttles all to no avail. In speaking with the groups of people that came own all agreed the cheduling of the shuttle was actually hindering the service rather than making the shuttle convenient like it had been in past years. It would be easier to do a firstcome first serve, rather than scheduling and being tied to that time, and if by chance your plans change, you are then left in the dust. Based on the feedback rom your guests that night, all were in agreeance that the scheudled shuttle service was not working efficiently and the staff were unaccomidating. We ultimately called the cab company after waing tfor 1 1/2 hours and were able to make the show on time. We ultimatley missed our dinner plans at moheghan due to the chaotic and unorganized shuttle system. Suggestion would be to go back to the old way of furst come first serve, by scheduling the shuttle you prohibit guests from thouroughly enjoying their experience but rather being forced to a specific timeline rather than at their own pace.
