“Not happy, won't return.”

Our room had no soap. Not a big deal, we asked at the front desk, only to be told that soap is "on back order". No alternatives, barely even an apology. Doesn't seem like a huge deal, but I don't expect to have to run to the store for soap when I'm out of town staying at a hotel that should have, well...soap. Also, very disappointed with the shoveling of the grounds. I understand completely that we were in town during a snow storm, but I'm shocked that someone wasn't available to keep up with at least the steps and front walk. I was not happy with the response I received from the management when I complained after our stay. They do not take responsibility for any of these issues, and the response was written in a way that sounded as though they were only responding because they had to, not because they wanted to address my issues
