“Location is great, but that's about it. Hallways reaked of...”

Location is great, but that's about it. Hallways reaked of cigarette smoke even in front of non-smoking rooms. The phone along with some plastic frames that held tv channel information did not look like they had been cleaned in YEARS. Sticky dirty film on these items and the phone was black with dirt around the edges and around the numbers. A little soap & water would go a long way. Clock/Alarm didn't work at all and it also hadn't been wiped off in a while...had a layer of dust on it. Couldn't call for a wake up call, because the phone was so dirty. Dog barked in a room close to us on and off for hours. Had to call the1-800 # for Microtel to get the direct # to our hotel in the middle of the night so I could then call the hotel to ask them to please do something about the dog. No good average temperature in room... either too hot or too cold during the night. Breakfast was very minimal. Told the person some of the above as we left, but she just agreed with me that the items needed to be cleaned and said the alarm clock probably just shorted out.
