“Unsafe, Cheap, and Dirty Hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE.”

  , West Lafayette
Let me preface this with stating that my wife and I have stayed at Microtel's before (Jacksonville, FL) and had a great experience. The room was clean, we felt safe, and it was an all around pleasant experience. This stay however was everything BUT that.First, we did not in the slightest feel safe. The outer doors were something that you would expect of a cheap interior closet door. I rapped on it a few times and the wood was incredibly thin and the door hollow. This wouldn't have been an issue, except for the people fighting out in the hallway late into the night. We were woken up at least 4 times by it.Second, the fighting wasn't the only thing keeping us up either. The walls were incredibly thin and we were "treated" to the neighbors having vigorous sex all morning long until we escaped this hell hole.Third, the room was just dirty. I wore socks while in the room and they were very filthy at the end of just getting ready for bed. Seriously, may be 10 minutes of being up and about and the socks were filthy.Forth, the mattress was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever had the displeasure of sleeping on and I grew up sleeping on a 20 year old thin mattress. It was not only hard as a rock, but it was also slanted down towards the headboard.Fifth, the cleaning staff could clearly not give a rip on the rooms. In addition to the dirty floor, the bed wasn't fully made and was missing a mattress cover. Then the icing on the cake was the front desk staff who clearly didn't give a rip about our issues. So yeah, avoid this place at _ALL_ costs. It is TERRIBLE.
