“Disgusting place to stay!”

Requested a non-smoking room...1st room had cigarette ash on the bedside table and such a strong cigarette odor I had an asthma attack. There was also hair on the sheet and no top sheet on the bed. The room Dee, the very nice and helpful night desk clerk, moved us to had cigarette burns on the tables and the beds were dirty; hair (some pubic) on the sheets and pillowcases, yellow stains on pillowcases, what looked like dirty grease stains on the vellux blankets, tears and pubic hair tangled in one blanket most of which I have pictures of. Also the phone jack was loose, alarm clock was broken, there were scratches on tv screen, and mysterious white smears on carpet by the beds. Called Dee, and requested Another room, but as it was near midnight she was unable to move us to a new room. Husband slept on top of covers on one bed and I tossed and turned on the other bed with a terrible headache from the asthma attack I had earlier. The next day tried we talked to the manager she refused to lower the rate. I was Not happy about that. She offered a 20% discount on our next stay (we will never stay here again and strongly recommend no one else does either) When asked if they would apply it to our current stay she (Carla Patel) refused. The Day clerk was snarky and said that because of the lower rate we had we "shouldn't expect a stay at the Hilton" I replied that the comment was unnecessary and that I have stayed at many cheaper motels and they were all much cleaner. Ms. Patel then stated that the motel was "very clean" and that the cleanliness of the rooms was guaranteed yet continued to refuse to give us a lower rate. Ms. Patel was abrupt, borderline rude, during our whole conversation. I explained that I hope she understood that we would be telling friends and family not to stay at this particular motel during any future travel. I hope that one of the Wyndham group reps sees this and does a thorough inspection and review of franchise. One room that did not meet standards could be excused, people do sometimes smoke in non smoking rooms and maids miss things. However two rooms that are dirty, not to mention hallways that reek of smoke is beyond tolerable. as for the ratings below, The 2's for friendliness of staff are solely due to the night clerk Dee. Did not use shower or eat because of lack of cleanliness in rooms made us worry about safety of doing either.
