“Great service, other guests can't be helped!”

I stayed for 10 days while waiting for my apartment to become available after a PCS to Ft. Benning. Anyone who knows the area could tell you that exit 3 is kind of sketchy, but this property is nice and new...just expect to go up the road to exit 10 or 12 if you want to find some non-fast-food place to eat, or go to the mall. If just being close to base is your priority, then you'll be just fine.If you decide to stay here, just understand who makes up most of the clientele--families visiting their recent BCT grads, Soldiers on TDY, and contractors who are doing work on the base. That means early morning wake-ups, whether you were planning on it or not. You will want to select a room on the second floor, so you don't have to wait on the elevator, or deal with the noise of people checking out, going outside to smoke, or otherwise moving around. Hell really is other people...many don't seem to notice or care that their doors slam, or their kids are screaming bloody murder, and on and on. This is not a reflection on the staff; just be smart and choose a room away from high traffic areas. The free continental breakfast isn't bad, with an assortment of bagels, toast, waffles, cereal, whole fruit, granola bars, yogurt cups, and "bag eggs" and bacon in a catering tray, which any Army guy familiar with Mermites has seen before. If those kind of eggs bother you, there is nothing wrong with their cereal and toast! They also have plenty of coffee, tea, milk, OJ, and apple juice...so if you really can't find something you can eat, I don't know how to help you. It's free, and the lady attending to the food supply is as nice as can be. Just be considerate of your fellow guests, and you won't have any real complaints! When I arrived, the desk lady upgraded me to a suite because it was during the middle of the week. The room was clean, and everything was serviceable. I was able to bring any issues (a couple bottles of water, an extra soap or towel) to the attention of the front desk and it was handled promptly and courteously.Overall, if you just need a clean place to sleep close to base, with a responsive staff, then this is a great choice!
