“Desperately Needs to be Updated and Cleaned”

Price was good, room was not. Room (#104) needs to have some serious attention and repairs. Curtains were hanging off the window, which allowed light from the parking lot in all night, I tried to re-attach them to discover that the hooks were all broken off and didn't work (why housekeeping didn't fix this???) the carpet was worn and stained, making it look dirty (hard to tell if it was dirty or not due to the numerous stains and worn spots), and the bathroom floor tilted so badly toward the tub that it made you feel off balance when you walked into the bathroom. We chose to wait until we got to our destination to shower that day as I didn't want to get into the shower at all. The whole room felt "dingy and dirty". The price was good, but was still too much for this run down room. In fairness, this is the only room I saw in the hotel so I have no way to know if all the rooms are this bad or if we just got very unlucky. The front desk staff were nice, but since we were traveling with two very exhausted children I didn't want to uproot them and try another room at 10:30 at night, so we tuffed it out and stayed in this one figuring it was only for the one night. I will say the beds were comfortable. That however is the only thing the room had going for it. I wouldn't bother with the high carb, high sugar offerings at the "free" breakfast buffet either- There's a Cracker Barrel" right next door. We won't be staying here again. The Wyndham hotel chains should be ashamed of this one!
