“Microtel Independence”

Hotel was easy to locate, but in a busy commercial intersection. The lobby was very tight, and the front desk clerk was impossible to identify as such until he came in from outside and went behind the desk. The desk was seldom visibly staffed.The room was neat but pretty compact. The TV was high quality, but stopeed working at one point. We thought it was a dead remote, but when we asked the desk for batteries, she had trouble finding some. That wasn't the problem, so she said she'd contact maintenance THE NEXT DAY. We finally fixed the problem by disconnecting the TV cable and power ourselves and it rebooted. Breakfast was mostly sweets.
