“Poor customer service and non-existant hospitality, VERY BAD EXPERIENCE”

  , Harrison
I arived Friday evening, after making reservations at wyndham.com, at check in i informed the trainee that my reservation was for one night but i wanted to stay two nights, the trainerwho I assumed was in a management position quoted me a rate of 43.00 per night. my stay friday night was fine. Saturday, I went to the Arkansas football gamewith my girlfriend, after we went to a bar for drinks and dinner (we live several hours apart and dont get to see each other very often)needless to say we had more than a few drinks, and took a cab back to the hotel. we got to the room and the card key did not work. I went down to the counter and was told that I was not quoted the correct price, that the 86.00 plus tax covered the friday night stay. Assuming I had payed for both nights, I got a little carried away on the bar tab, I was then informed that my card did not have enough money on it for Sat. night. I wa not happy and tried to have a discussion with the trainer from the night before, who was working that shift trying to explain that since I was quoted a rate for two nights that they should honor the rate given considering the hotel had many rooms not being used. A young man was there and very rudely interupted our converstasation saying he was the manager and was there when I checked in, which he was not, and if he was should have corrected the wrong quote right then and avoided an embarrasing and ultimitely dangeous situation. I told him he was not there when I checked in and that this was between the woman who checked me in and myself. At that point he began cussing at me and told me to"get my s**t and get the f**k out of his hotel and off his property or he eas calling the police". So I retrieved my belongings and not trusting him not to tow my vehicle, my girlfriend and I drove away, too intoxicated to be behind the wheel. Thank the good Lord that I drive a Tahoe and we found a Fairly safe place to park and slept in the back. Having spent 27 years in the hospitality industry, I was amazed at the lack of any willingness to compromise( I could have given him a check that would have been good Monday) or the sheer disregard for our safety and the safety of others on the road. I hope your other hotels are run better, but I will not know as I will never stay at a Microtel again which I am disappointed in since the price and accomidations are very nice and when my girlfreind and I do get to see each other we prefer to get a room for the privacy.
