Fire alarms going off on 10/5 in the afternoon when my parents got there so they were unable to rest as they had intended. Our heating/cooling unit wasn't working - it was stuck in on position blowing cool air. The knobs were stripped out and just spun so we couldn't adjust anything. The front desk turned off the breaker to it so it was shut down and gave us rate discount on our room. My family members in two other rooms didn't have phones that were working. Almost no outlets available in the room - we found 1 that was accessible. Maybe the very large armoire and other furniture are covering others. Carpet in front lobby was extremely dirty lady (long dark hair) was standing at front entrance taking a smoke break - really disgusting!! Not a good idea to make your guests walk through your employee's second hand smoke. We had a third floor room, so the bathroom vent going up to the roof was extremely loud vent cap blowing in the wind on Saturday. Breakfast is extremely slim and all cold, except option for instant oatmeal I think. Pre-packaged muffins and bagels - yikes! Would be nice if they had some fresh fruit. Wouldn't stay here again, but it was a budget choice other family members opt'd for. Very poor lighting in the room - one dim, can light over TV area, one can light near window and nightstand lamp. Hotel says 3rd floor is recently renovated, but it was done sort of bare bones - sloppy drywall texturing and paint job, still an old, rusty sprinkler head in the bathroom and odd, bulky furniture in room that's nice looking but takes up a ton of space and leaves almost zero outlets for all of the electronic things people need to plug in these days.
