“Good sleep but poor service”

We stayed at this Microtel several times in the past and have never had a problem. This was the first time we spent more and stayed in a suite room. We stayed for 3 nights. Upon checking into the room, we noticed the light above the sink did not work. We left a note in the room the next day, and the note was removed, however the light was not fixed. Our bed was made on the first two nights, and new towels were left. additional Shampoo and soap was never left beyond what was in the room when we checked in on the first night.Upon our return to the room late on the third night, we discovered someone was in our room, however the bed was not made, no new towels and the light above the sink was still out. We called to the front desk to complain and asked for new towels in the morning. In the morning, we went to the front desk to get new towels.Upon checking out I again mentioned the light was out, and the front desk explained it away stating they didn't have any light bulbs and all the stores were closed for the holiday. however, there were several rooms available to take a bulb from. makes no common sense to provide that kind of excuse.there was no excuse for not making the bed or new towels on the last night.We plan to seek other hotels in the area for our next trip to Ames.
