Guests can expect the following from our breakfast menu: We have 2-4 kinds of cold cereals, variety of instant oatmeal and instant grits, toast (usually white and wheat bread) Danish, english muffins (optional), mini bagels (optional), regular size bagels, muffins and a fruit bowl. We have coffee, tea, juice and milk. We provide peanut butter, cream cheese and jelly condiments. The breakfast is located in the lobby across from the Front Desk. Dont forget to look in the nook near the coffee for all of our breakfast selection options. « hide

Dear James, Thank you for choosing the Microtel Inn, in Champaign to fulfill your rooming needs while in our area. Champaign does have several nightlife options for all age groups, I hope you and your companions had a good time. If using public transportation please come to the Front Desk for options. We keep phone numbers of several local Cabs and a list of their set prices. We are working with the MTD bus company to get a closer bus stop to our hotel but right now the Cab companies are the best bet for door to door pickups. We hope that you come to see us again, if you have any maintenance or technicial issues with the room please immediately come to the Front Desk for assistance. Dear Martin, I am sorry to hear that you experienced trouble with a noisy Air Conditioner unit during your stay on November 9, 2012. I am glad to hear that the hotel immediately tried to address the problem by offering to send down Maintenance personnel and when you did not find that satisfactory you were moved to a new room without a noisy Air Conditioner. My records indicate that Front Desk staff Jennifer also followed up with you on November 10, 2012 in the morning to be sure that everything in the room was satisfactory in which case you said it was. Dear Raymond, I just wanted to apologize for the trouble that you experienced during your recent stay at our facility. Our Front Desk staff is only here to help in any way possible. I show that your reservation was due to arrive on November 9, 2012- this date was a special event in our area in which case the hotel was at 100% occupancy. It is very hard to change room types at arrival if the hotel is full. We are only legal responsible to guarantee a guest a room for the room type reserved on the original reservation. We tried to have two desk clerks here to help speed up the check in process and prevent long wait times. Looking back at our records we received your reservation for a single Queen Smoking room from www.expedia.com. The expedia agent did not list any special request information to change the room type should it become possible. In cases where you book a room reservation with a Third Party website you should have received a confirmation letter by email confirming a room type from Expedia directly-or it may have said like "smoking preferrence not guaranteed" or room type "run of house" in the clause paragraph at the bottom. It is very important to read those confirmation letters very carefully as they can be tricky. Expedia does not provide us with any address, phone number or email information to contact guests before your arrival. Therefore we cannot contact guests in advance to confirm your room type or any special requests you may have for non smoking preference. I would recommend always contacting the hotel after your have booked your reservation just to double check on the room type and to be sure we know you have any special request information listed.
