“Recent stay at Microtel”

I arrived and was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were polite and took care of me promptly however the following morning I was suppose to arrive at a college graduation. To my surprise, I found no hot water to be able to shower. My wife called downstairs to notify the frnt desk attendant and her response was " I dont know whats wrong and I dont know when it will be fixed". I waited approximately an hour and went and ate breakfast. At the end of my meal, I stopped by and questioned again the status of the hot water issue. She again replied that she didnt know when it was going to be fixed and she didnt know what was wrong. I questioned her about the ability of me to take a shower as I had an engagement to attend and she again stated she was sorry with very little regard for my concerns or ability to compensate me in some manner. Upon leaving, I questioned her a third time as we were there with some friends of ours about how she was going to fix this problem. She gave me a discount to the tune of 10 dollars which I was displeased with and I felt she must have been able to tell my dissatisfaction as she then discounted it by 20 dollars with much regret and heavy breathing on her part. This was my very first stay in a Microtel and as stated before, I was pleased with the overall location and appearance, however the staff the morning of my depature greatly lacked any positive impressions.
