“Dirty old carpet!”; Feb 23, 2013 V. T, Jacksonville; I would expect this hotel to already know that their carpet is stained and dirty beyond repair and to be proactive and replace it. The room was smelly,musty!However, to allow a customer to book a 2 night stay and you have other rooms available, yet choose to put your customer in that particular room is UNACCEPTABLE!I traveled with my 80 year old mother, called in advance for an early check in, checked in unloaded our car, unpacked our clothing and left the room. We came back and noticed several huge brown stain in the middle of the floor. I called, received permission to change rooms, and then I had to repack all of our things and my 80 year old Mom was totally exhausted from all of the moving!The new room was just as bad, she would not even take her shoes off because the carpet was just that filthy. I tried to pick up what debris that I could to make her feel more comfortable. JUST NASTY!!!!!!
