“Wet Carpet”

The room and facility were average or better on all counts. The one real problem I experienced was that when I got into my room I noticed a chemical smell. I assumed it was a cleaning compound. In the morning I figured out what it was. The carpet had been cleaned and was still wet. My travel bag was wet and it made the tile floor slippery. I told the desk when I checked out. She said thanks and have a nice day. I think it should be an automatic move on the part of staff to offer some form of discount or adjustment. Rather that make a big scene in front of the numerous breakfast guests, I decided to wait and deal with corporate. I was also disappointed that the pool was closed for some type of service.
