“bad customer service”

we had a friend who had booked on line at this same hotel so we could all stay together. when she arrived she found that their had been a mistake made and her room was reserved in VT not DE EVEN though she had been on the /Dover DE site when she booked it. The desk clerk simply said that happens and laughed while our friend had to call microtel customer asst. to try and straighten it out. Long story short, the desk clerk offered NO HELP at all and chuckled stating we have this happen alot. Even Microtel Cust Asst did very little to help causing me to realize that IF I had a problem with a Microtel Hotel I would be in the same boat enough reason NOT To book one. I travel ALOT and this was a valuable lesson learned. I will NOT recommend this chain to any of my other friends or colleagues that travel. Even as we got out of the car to check in and Air Force person was getting out his car and asked us if we had checked in yet, stating that he hoped our room was reserved as they never seem to get it right at this motel as the Air Force puts up their personnel there often and he was very familiar with it. NOT a GOOD advertisment for your motel. Additionally, i needed to stay in touch with my office but the internet (free) was DOWN the entire weekend I had to go across to McDonalds to contact the office and make arrangements.
