“Dirty and under renovation”

We were arriving late into Denver and chose to stay near the airport. We chose Microtel thinking it would live up to the Wyndham name. We were so wrong! When we arrived just past midnight, the girl at the front counter was eating fried chicken and seemed bothered we were asking for our reservation. We were then given a room on the second floor, where the hallway carpets were in the process of being removed. We overlooked the massive stains in the room carpet and moved our bags in to discover the door lock did not work. We then had to go back down to get another room, this time on the third floor. The bedding and linens were clean and adequate, but that's about all that was. The continental breakfast consisted of a single waffle maker, cold cereal and prepackaged pastries. Really, not a benefit of staying there. In the morning we awoke to workers moving rolls of used carpet out through the lobby and the second floor hallways were bare. Glad we switched rooms, but it was still noisy, as we were trying to sleep in from our late night flight. Staff was not friendly, nor helpful. Place was a construction zone, and some rooms are uninhabitable. hopefully after they finish their renovations it might meet the Wyndham moniker, but stay away for now!
