“reasonably priced for Anchorage AK”

The comp breakfast area is cramped into a small area by the registration desk, putting a lot of people in this area during the offering of the free breakfast. Seating is limited thus people sit on the sofa's and cushioned chairs in the reception area. Someone spilled coffee on the dark brownish/green sofa I sat on, staining my white jeans. A suggested to management to put up a sign requesting that guests not eat or drink in the area where the sofa's and cushioned chairs are; and training employees to be more aware of what is happening around them would be helpful. The front desk employee is maybe 12-15 feet from the reception area, he mostly kept his head down. When I told him of the spilled coffee he offered no sympathy or what he might do to help protect others from the same thing. I told him he should remove the cushion so it could be cleaned and dried or at least put a sign on the sofa to warn others. He did put a sign on the sofa. This is the first time staying at a Microtel Inn & Suites (new to Wyndham properties) so we were pleasantly surprised on the size of our room, it was definitely a small suite. It had a small bar between the sleeping quarters and a sitting area. The bar included a microwave, small refrigerator and a sink. We only had one bed & when I looked at some rooms being cleaned I noticed the rooms with 2 beds did not have the bar and sitting room. The room we had was visually clean and smelled clean. We stayed 3 nights. They appeared, to us, to be lax in cleaning the room while we were a guest. Although they gave us clean towels when we wanted and emptied the garbage they never made the bed. Perhaps it was my fault as I have a habit of pulling up and smoothing the blankets after we get up. Another suggestion to management would be to set a time limit for guests who use the only computer offered for obtaining airline boarding passes. I went down to print our boarding passes and a fellow was on the computer, with lots of paperwork around him, so we went to dinner. When we got back he was still on the computer. I went down two more times prior to going to bed and he was still on the computer. I have no idea how long he stayed on it but it appeared others standing around were also waiting to use it. I would stay here again because it was convenient to family and friends and was attractively priced. I'm retired and would prefer to stay in 5 star hotels but pricing has a lot of influence as to where I stay.
