This was a no frills place to stay in Auburn for a great price. I don't really have complaints about the place for what it is. It has things that you'd probably expect from a budget type 1 1/2 to 2 star hotel such as beds that aren't that comfortable and outdated but functioning TV's. The room and bathroom were acceptably clean although as with most places of this star level you feel like the place could use an annual deep scrub of the carpet and bathroom that probably doesn't happen. Of note, I didn't find any bugs under the sheets or crawling on the walls which seems to be a popular horror story on the poor reviews that I read. The breakfast was more than just pastries from a box that you get at some places. There is yogurt, a make your own waffle station, cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, coffee, and juices so a decent selection for hotel at it's star level. I do notice at places like this that you get some guests who are using the place as a longer term lodging option for work. I noticed a few guests like this when I was staying here. This isn't to say that these people are bad, but just know that it's not all just families staying here all the time.My overall assessment is just what my rating says and that is that this place is an average, decent place to stay. If your expectations are strictly at the Hampton Inn or Spring Hill Suites level and above and anything less makes you wish you were staying somewhere else then you probably should stay somewhere else. However, if you just need a place to sleep and get breakfast in the morning, then this will work for you and at a decent price.
